IP Protection and Commercializing Technology Through the Power of Licensing (LES 100) Training
“IP Protection and Commercializing Technology Through the Power of Licensing (LES 100) Training” designed by Licensing Executives Society International as the beginning module of trainings for technology transfer and IP management professionals will be held on May 3, 2016.
Teknoloji ve Lisans Yöneticileri Derneği (LES Türkiye), Türkiye Teknoloji Geliştirme Vakfı (TTGV) ve Avrupa İşletmeler Ağı (AİA) işbirliğinde TTGV Kıvılcım Endüstriyel Yaratıcılık Merkezi’nde gerçekleştirilecek ücretsiz eğitime katılım 40 ile sınırlıdır.
The training which will be organized by Licensing Executives Society (LES Turkey) in cooperation with Technology Development Foundation of Turkey (TTGV) and Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is free-of-charge. The number of participants is limited to 40 participants.

Introduction & IP Basics: Introduction to the different types of IP including patents, trade marks, copyright, get-up and trade secrets.
Basics of IP Commercialisation & Licensing: Introduction to Licensing, including reasons for licensing, description of licensing agreements, infringement, competition law, and relationship-building.
Determining Reasonable License Fees & Royalty Rates: Risks and rewards, different valuation methods (market, financial, cost) and their pros and cons, and royalty structures.
Managing Risks: Different kinds of risk and how to manage them i.e. confidentiality, infringement, liability, collection of royalties and other fees, and unlicensed competition.
Licensing Game: Practical exercise where licensee and licensor teams discuss and negotiate terms based on a licensing case study.
